Direct deposit is fast, secure, and easy with deposit options.
Fast. The IRS usually has the money electronically transferred into the taxpayers account about 7-10 days after the efile or paper returns has been accepted. A paper check can take 4-6 weeks.
Secure. Refunds go straight into a bank account, so there is no risk of the money being lost or stolen.
Easy. Just make sure you put the correct bank account and routing number. If it is a joint return, some banks may require it be a joint bank account also.
Options. Taxpayers may also split the refund into several financial accounts.
